Say less, Pray more

Modern culture convinces us that success requires constant busyness, sharp intellect, and smooth talking. We rely heavily on our own brains and persuasive words to survive day to day, treating prayer as a desperate last resort when all other doors close. Yet Scripture offers a radically different perspective: "Don’t be hasty in bringing matters before God... So let your words be few" (Ecclesiastes 5:2).

Our best words are not meant for endless worldly debate, but for deep, sincere prayer. True prayer is never a cold, repetitious routine; it is a heart-cry that moves heaven and Earth.

Relying on our own willpower and smart words will eventually leave us exhausted. When we surrender our need to control every outcome and instead kneel in persistent prayer, we allow the Holy Spirit to accomplish what human effort never could. Let your words be few—and let your prayers be fierce.
